Ah.. just another typical day..

Ok, so I am playing catch up.. AGAIN!

Yesterday, B's dad had surgery, so he was at the hospital with him. (Everything went well and he got to come home today) :o)

We talked off and on during the day...and when I think of it now, our conversations were pretty funny. He was tired of waiting all day and sitting down.. all I wanted to do was be able to sit down! LOL!

In addition to the everyday tasks of cleaning, picking up toys, feeding the kids, letting the dog outside, picking up toys, cleaning, playing referee... did I mention picking up toys?? LOL... Ok, so In addition to all of these things...At the end of the day I had:

  • made a stack of things on top of the armoire (that is the only place I could see to put it where little hands couldn't grab it again) that big boy used to climb on...2 buckets, the shape sorter toy, and a shoe box, to be exact.
  • Safely extracted Noah's finger from the vent in the bathroom
  • safely extracted Noah's hand from his sister's Princess Belle teapot
  • cleaned up one WHOLE bottle of baby vapor bath that had been put (upside down) into the basket... and leaked all over the contents of said basket and the countertop.

So those are the highlights!!! Anyone who says staying at home with Children is not a job... should definately try it one day!! :o)

'Tis The Season!

Here it is...the first day of Winter, and 3 days before Christmas! I can't belive it! Except for wrapping the last 4 gifts and putting together about 10 toys.. I think we are finally ready!

I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas, complete with family, friends and lots of love!

New site going Live today!

Over the past couple months, I have been working with the sweetest customer, Miranda. We have worked on several graphic design items together for her buisness... and Today - her Website is going Live!

Please be sure to take a peek - pamperedprincessesboutique.com - I think the design turned out to be really fun and adorable! And Miranda makes the cutest bow & flower headbands and tutus!

The Princess is 4...

Ok, so I am finally getting around to getting some pics from Ash's birthday! She got to have a little party at school, and we had presents when she got home. She will be having a pool party at the end of July to celebrate with all of our family and friends! Here are a few pics:

New look??

What do you think of the new look? Is the text hard to read?? I have been wanting to change it - to use the graphics that I made for my website... so I am excited about that!!! It only took Amy an hour to figure out what the heck an "outer wrapper" was... LOL!! I am ashamed that I like playing with web design so much... but I didn't take the time to figure out a blog layout... ahh... a project for my free time! LOLLLLL.....

After playing with this for a while.. I am thinking I may go a different way with my design... I have been dreaming up something that will be scrumptious!!! :P

My Baby boy is ONE!!!

Noah had his first birthday last Saturday!! I can't believe he is a year old! Here are a few pics from his John Deere themed party!

We had the hardest time trying to find him a shirt in his size that was JD... so I did my first applique! I printed out a "1" on my computer, cut it out of a JD bandana, and appliqued it on... It isn't perfect, but for my first applique, I am proud!

Nurses, wind & changes...

Nurses: Mom's surgery went well! All of the Nurses in the day surgery unit were just Wonderful!! (Of course I was a little overly critical since I am also a RN..) but they were really great!

Wind: Princess and I, and some friends got to go swimming for a little while yesterday... It was nice and hot, but oh-so- windy! We couldn't set up an umbrella because they would have blown away (we realized this AFTER my dad and I fished the swing OUT of the swimming pool!)

There was no shade for the little Prince and my girlfriend's baby girl, so we made them a makeshift tent! Using a sheet, safety pins, and 4 chairs! It worked well!!

Changes: Why is it that the older we get... the faster time goes by? All of a sudden you look back and realize that the last year has gone by in a flash.

And sometimes you look back and then you come to the sad realization that the people and things that you Never thought would change, do change. There are many reasons that these things change, and all are valid reasons. But still, even though you KNOW there is a reason, a good reason... it still made me cry that I had to finally face the fact...

A good laugh... since the previous paragraph is so sad (but I HAD to get it off my chest a little) I thought I would end with a little funny...

Ahhhh... The honesty of a 4 yr old... The whole family was in the beauty shop yesterday. Brian and Princess got hair cuts, and I got my eyebrows waxed... Anyhow - Someone was getting a perm - and you know how the solution smells (Blech) so Princess, in her "outside" voice (of course) says "Oh! That STINKS!!! Mommy, WHO did that stinky????!!!" LOL!!! I don't think the gal getting the perm thought it was very funny... Oops! :P

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by to read a little about how I spend my days!
When I was younger, I really enjoyed keeping a journal. After having my children, I have learned the hard way that too many precious times pass by without being recorded. I am hoping that by starting this blog, I will be more dedicated to writing about all of the little things, big things, and everything else in between!
